Understanding Behaviour Activity
A printable activity for sitting down with a child after something has gone wrong, once everyone has cooled off, and working out together what was going on underneath it.

What it supports
- recording what happened in the child’s own words
- noticing what was happening in the body
- agreeing one thing to try next time

How to use it in class
Use it later the same day or the next morning, never in the heat of it. Filling it in beside the child rather than across a desk from them changes the whole tone, and it is the last box that matters, because it gives you both something concrete to point back to.
